This is a book on lurchers written by an authentic working lurcher man. A Comprehensive
account of his life and experiences with the dogs and their owners hunting various
quarries, large and small in Britain and occasionally Australia. The narrative races
along in the authors personal and original style and his zest for his sport is all
too obvious, page after page.
Not only is it very readable, it also contains many photographs take from the authors
personal collection over the action packed years. Many different crosses are discussed,
their properties examined, and there are even chapters on the use of hunting with
an eagle, fishing and poaching for salmon and trout.
A thoroughly entertaining, rollicking account of one of mans life with running dogs.
NO MOON TONIGHT will be a welcome addition to the library of any lurcher aficionado
and I wish the author every success with it.
